Dear friends,
On this holy night, on behalf of the chaplains, the sisters of the New Covenant, the employees and the volunteers of the shrine, I wish you a merry Christmas. You might be weary, or enduring bereavement, illness, isolation or family dissensions. And let’s face it the global backdrop does not help…
And that’s precisely why the Nativity of Jesus touches. We’re not celebrating success, well-being or the end of the year pretty love stories on TV. We celebrate the Child God who comes to each of us in indigence to save us. This is the gift of Christmas: a God who loves us beyond our wildest dreams and who wants to offer us his peace.
Merry Christmas to all!
