Stéphane Bern kindly responded positively to our invitation in Montligeon. With great kindness, he filmed a video in which he explains how dear the place is to him and his support for the urgent work needed on the basilica.
“I fell in love with Montligeon”. Stéphane Bern did this confidence while he visited us on 29th June 2023. In his video, he confirms how dear the place is to him: “Each time I go to this shrine, I am moved by the beauty and the peace it creates. I feel always happy when I come out of it.”
From the steps of the Hermitage, through the gardens and the nave, to the towers of the basilica, the host recounted the incredible history of Montligeon. He brought to life the passion and faith of its founder, Abbé Paul-Joseph Buguet, the pilgrimages and the desire to lay to rest the deceased. A true episode of his famous program Secrets d’histoire!
Stéphane Bern supports the works to be started urgently
The keen champion of the French heritage then called for support for the work urgently needed on the basilica. “This heritage, these stones need you to continue to exist and bring peace to those who visit them. So from the bottom of my heart, I’rely on you!”
